Instructions for use:
Brush away the hair around the tick, place the head of the tick between the ends of the tweezers and close them around the tick’s head carefully. Now steadily turn the tweezers clockwise or anticlockwise until the tick is loosened. Avoid sudden movements when removing the tick and do not squeeze the body of the tick. The skin has to be disinfected after the tick’s removal.

Important: If any part of the tick remains attached, please contact your veterinarian.

Further information about ticks:
Ticks are mostly active during the warm months of May to August. During this time all dog or cat owners should be equipped with suitable methods for removing them. They particularly live in the ground vegetation of meadows, in the undergrowth and at the edges of forests. They crawl up grasses or bushes up to a height of 1 metre from where they let themselves fall down onto passing animals or humans. Ticks can transfer dangerous pathogens. But there are good chances of protecting pets and humans against an infection if ticks are removed within a few hours after the first tick bite. While removing the following points have to be considered:

Do not treat the tick with oil, adhesives or the like.
Catch the tick’s head with special tweezers as close as possible to the surface of the skin and unscrew it in one piece.
Do not squeeze the tick’s body.
Please disinfect the bite with an antiseptic ointment
