Dog Whistles
Dog whistles are great for use in the training of dogs. As the frequency of a dog whistle is mostly out of the range of human hearing, only your dog can hear them. (typically they have a range of 16000 Hz to 22000 Hz -> 20000 Hz being the value audible to the human ear)
We have silent dog whistles and multi tonal whistles for alerting dogs to do different things. Depending on the way its used, trainers can get dog's attention in order to recall or do specific tricks/commands.
